Summary of Position
The Toddler/Preschool Teacher plays a key role in delivering a high-quality educational experience for children ages 18 months to 5 years in a collaborative, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment. In partnership with the Center Director and caregiving team, this position supports the planning and implementation of classroom and outdoor activities that foster each child's growth and well-being. The teacher builds positive relationships with children and families, communicates effectively with parents during drop-off and pick-up, and contributes observations for child assessments.
This role also serves as the primary caregiver for other classrooms during staff absences, implementing daily routines and activities that align with the established curriculum. Additionally, the teacher provides supervision and mentorship to work-study students and contributes to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized classroom and center environment. Ongoing professional development and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential components of this position.

- Verbal and written communication skills including the ability to give and receive information accurately and present information to individuals

- Ability to work from our Lakewood RRCC campus (primarily our Lakewood campus.
- Must have completed either ECE 101 or ECE 103 with 12 months (1820 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four or more children under six years of age who are not related to the individual OR completion of both ECE 101 and ECE 103 with no experience. All courses must be completed with a course grade of "C" or above.

Starting Salary
Starting salary range for this position is $43,636 to $48,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-non-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
