Summary

Learning Through Play Child Development Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler and Preschool Teacher to join our nurturing team. We offer a unique, low-child-to-teacher ratio environment, ensuring individualized attention for each child in our two classrooms. Our program prioritizes a family-oriented approach, emphasizing a warm, caring, and safe atmosphere where children thrive.

This role involves actively participating in the planning and implementation of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that enhance the children’s learning and overall well-being. You will be an integral member of a collaborative three-teacher team, requiring effective communication, teamwork, and a positive disposition.

Essential qualifications include:

  • 18 and Older
  • Reliable transportation
  • Completion of a DCF 45-hour childcare training program.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications (assistance with obtaining these certifications is available if needed).

The position offers a competitive compensation package, including paid Federal holidays, and operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Duties

  • Work with different age groups.
  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
  • Help ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to the child care center.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.


Requirements

  • ·18 years of age and Older
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • ·High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
  • ·A strong understanding of child development.
  • ·Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be working towards 45 hr. DCF training , First Aid and CPR training or completed
  • ·Must clear a full background check.

Providing a safe, clean, caring, and nurturing atmosphere for children, While also providing quality Early Childhood Education.
