Mountain Mission School serves as a home, school and church for more than 150 children (many of them with us year-round). We serve children residentially from nursery to high school graduates! Our school is ACSI accredited for grades K-12. Over the years, students from more than 70 countries have sought safety, security, and refuge at MMS.

*We're looking for people with missionary heart and mindset to pour themselves into a mission field tucked away within the mountains of Southwest Virginia...but with an international reach. *

*Duties* * Exemplifying the desired characteristics of a Christian employee as outlined in the MMS Employee Handbook. * Serving as a house parent. We anticipate needing middle school girls, middle school boys, high school boys, and toddler house parents. * Teaching during the school day. We are looking for quality teachers at all levels-elementary, middle, and high school. In particular, we look to have teacher needs in elementary, high school science, high school English, high school math, foreign languages, and IT/ Computer Science. * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational environment. * Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet diverse learning needs. * Create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and respect among students. * Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.

*Requirements* * Must be a follower of Christ. * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or related field * ACSI Certification and/or State Teaching License * Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. * Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and families. * Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. * A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students. * First Aid and CPR Certification * _*Must have US work authorization prior to application*_

Pay: From $28,000.00 per year
