The Ginger Tree Preschool is located in Glen Gardner, NJ. We are a small, private preschool that teaches children from 6 weeks-6 years old.
Assistant Teacher
Duties: - Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans - Provide support and supervision to children during classroom activities - Assist with the development of age-appropriate curriculum and learning materials - Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students - Assist with behavior management and promote positive social interactions among students - Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure the safety and well-being of all students - Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Qualifications: - Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred - Experience working with children, preferably in a preschool setting - Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices - Familiarity with literacy education and early childhood development milestones - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students - Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment and promote positive behavior - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
