REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To implement the school site Restorative Classroom Program to effectively meet both the academic and behavioral needs of the students designated to districtwide program at school sites
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teaches students assigned to Restorative Classroom program in their currently assigned course of instruction
2. Communicates with student’s regular schedule of teachers regarding assignments and instruction
3. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to effective learning and behavior objectives
4. Assists site administration in the implementation of the district’s multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) within the school
5. Facilitates restorative practices paradigm with students and staff including the use of affective statements, affective questions, circle structures, formal conferencing and reintegration of identified students following behavioral incidents
6. Facilitates the acquisition of social/emotional skills for identified students
7. Facilitates student goal setting and self-efficacy to develop motivation for learning and success
8. Participates in the school Professional Learning Communities as assigned by site administration
9. Develops and maintains a system of student record keeping related to the program
. Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss the student’s academic and behavioral progress
. Confers with students, parents, teachers and other staff as needed
. Participates in District, county and state meetings and trainings as needed or directed by site administration
. Contributes news items of the program to bulletins and other communications from the school
. Models personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountability
. Performs other related duties as assigned
SALARY: $, - $, annually ( day. Max. salary includes educational stipends)
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District’s
“Improvement of Professional Services” handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with
collective bargaining agreements when applicable.
