A full-time position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) serving a K-12 caseload during the 2025-2026 school year in Shawnee, Kansas. This is a contract role for the full school year, providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support aligned with students IEP goals related to visual impairment
Assess and monitor student progress in accessing the curriculum
Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support student learning and inclusion
Provide orientation and mobility training and adaptive technology guidance
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and families
Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments
Knowledge of assistive technology and specialized instructional strategies
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to manage a full K-12 caseload effectively
