Serve students with blindness, low vision, and multiple disabilities across all grade levels, providing instruction in both academic content areas and specialized skills unique to visual impairment education through innovative remote delivery methods. Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive assessments of visual functioning and learning preferences

Provide direct instruction in compensatory academic techniques

Support access to general education curriculum through adaptations

Coordinate services with orientation and mobility specialists

Implement assistive technology training and support programs

Engage families as partners in educational planning and implementation

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance

Essential Qualifications

Master's degree in Visual Impairment or related special education field

Valid Ohio TVI teaching license or certification

Minimum 2 years of direct experience with students who have visual impairments

Proficiency in braille reading, writing, and instruction

Strong knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment

Excellent virtual teaching and communication skills
