In Tacoma, WA, we are seeking dedicated Teachers for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students in an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This part-time position focuses on providing tailored educational experiences for students with visual impairments, ensuring that each learner receives the necessary tools and support to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
Collaborate with other educators and specialists to facilitate comprehensive support.
Deliver direct instruction and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse needs.
Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding academic and social development.
Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and IEP progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education, preferably with a focus on visual impairments.
Valid teaching certification for students with visual impairments.
Experience working with K-12 students is highly preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
