Job Details:

Position:  Teacher of the Visually Impaired (Temporary, Full-Time)

Schedule:   hours/week (Monday-Friday, school hours)

Duration:  September 2025 - December 2025

Pay Rate:  Up to  $54/hr  (based on experience)

Location:  Westerville, OH (on-site)

Job Description:

Provide  direct instruction  to students with visual impairments

Conduct  functional vision assessments  and learning media evaluations

Develop and implement  individualized education plans (IEPs)

Collaborate with classroom teachers on  accommodations and modifications

Teach  Braille, assistive technology, and orientation/mobility basics

Adapt curriculum materials for  accessibility

Support students in  developing independent living skills

Consult with families and  multidisciplinary teams

Education & Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree  in Visual Impairments Education

Ohio Intervention Specialist: Visually Impaired license  (or ability to obtain)

COMS certification  preferred but not required

Experience with  expanded core curriculum

Knowledge of  Braille instruction and assistive technologies

Strong  collaboration and advocacy skills
