Position: Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Rate: $55/hour

Requirements:

Valid PA Teaching Certification - Hearing Impaired (required) Fluency in American Sign Language (preferred) Current FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide direct service to eligible students to support educational attainment and successful communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Writing IEPs and communication plans Collaborating with educational audiologists and school staff regarding amplification in the daily routine Coordinating with the school, other service providers, families, and school district personnel to meet the needs of each individual learner, providing the best care, safety, welfare, and security of students
