A K-12 educational setting is seeking a specialized professional to provide support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing during the 2025/2026 school year. Responsibilities include: Delivering direct instructional services and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across various grade levels (K-12) Managing an active caseload of approximately 45 students Collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations Traveling to multiple campuses as an itinerant teacher to meet student needs onsite Utilizing specialized strategies, resources, and communication techniques appropriate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners Maintaining accurate records and progress reports to monitor student development Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related field Proven experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Strong understanding of assistive technologies and communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to travel between campuses for in-person instruction This role is a contract position for the upcoming school year, with an expected 35-hour work week.
