A K-12 educational position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Hearing Impaired, or Visual Impairments. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with diverse student populations in a dedicated learning environment within the Penrose, CO area. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored for students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or visually impaired. Utilize specialized instructional techniques and assistive technologies to support student learning and communication. Collaborate with families, classroom teachers, and support staff to create an inclusive educational environment. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Participate in meetings and professional development activities relevant to special education services. Qualifications and Experience: Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Hearing Impaired Specialist, or Teacher for the Visually Impaired. Experience working with K-12 students with sensory impairments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of current educational tools, technologies, and methods applicable to sensory impairments. Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs. Location: Penrose, Colorado.
