A full-time position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students at a K-12 school in Moreno Valley, CA. This contract role is for the new school year, providing an excellent opportunity to work closely with diverse learners who require specialized support and tailored instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Deliver instruction using appropriate communication methods, including sign language and assistive technology.
Collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to support student success.
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Valid teaching credential with specialization in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
