Job Summary Milwaukee Public Schools is actively recruiting candidates for traveling music instruction (TMI) facilitating small group lessons; percussion, low brass, and/or strings.Placements and work schedules are determined based on school need in our elementary, middle, and/or high school settings. This position does not require a Wisconsin teaching license, but applicants with a music degree are preferred. A Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) TMI provides instruction for students which is appropriate to their educational needs and developmental level.The educational program is offered in an equitable, multi-cultural setting and teaches all children to think deeply, critically and creatively. The TMI's work supports the MPS strategic plan. Applicants must have a valid drivers license and access to a fully insured vehicle throughout time of employment.
