Job Posting: Onsite Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Location: Juneau, Alaska (Travel Opportunity) Company: Soliant Education School Year: 20252026 (Contract Position) Dates: August 4, 2025 May 20, 2026 Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week Pay Rate: $40 - $55 per hour (Hourly), (Travel stipends are available as well for this position, please discuss with recruiter how to earn these) Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with Orientation and Mobility (O&M) experience for an onsite, district-wide role in Juneau, Alaska for the 20252026 school year. Preference will be given to candidates who are certified in both TVI and O&M. Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across the district Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure appropriate accommodations and instruction Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Travel between schools within the district to provide services Implement and support orientation and mobility training as needed Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication Requirements: Must be licensed as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in the state of Alaska Certification in Orientation and Mobility preferred Must hold or be able to obtain all necessary Alaska state certifications in a timely manner Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Position Details: Onsite role, district-wide across Juneau, Alaska Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Contract dates: August 4, 2025 May 20, 2026 Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Weekly pay Supportive recruiting and onboarding process Apply NOW!
