An opportunity is available for a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired to support students across multiple K-12 school sites for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is itinerant, requiring travel within district boundaries to provide specialized instruction and services tailored to each student's individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-person evaluations, including Functional Vision assessments and initial evaluations for students with visual impairments. Provide direct instruction aligned with students IEP goals and assistive technology requirements. Collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers to ensure coordinated support. Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings, complete necessary documentation, and monitor IEP goal progress. Support evaluation completion and assist with IEP writing to maintain compliance and effective programming. Maintain reliable transportation to travel among various school sites within the district. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid teaching certification for Visual Impairment services. Experience conducting Functional Vision assessments and evaluations. Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Reliable transportation for itinerant work is required.
