A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Visual Impairment Teacher within a school setting in Birmingham, AL. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, helping them achieve academic success and independence. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students visual needs. Deliver specialized instruction in Braille, assistive technology, orientation, and mobility. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusive learning. Assess students' abilities and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to stakeholders. Desired Qualifications: Certification or licensure in teaching students with visual impairments. Experience working with visually impaired children in an educational setting.
