Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments. Provide direct instruction in braille, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and other adaptive skills. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and related service providers to ensure a supportive learning environment. Conduct functional vision assessments and monitor student progress regularly. Facilitate accommodations and modifications to support access to the general curriculum. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Valid California Teaching Credential with authorization for Visual Impairment (TVI). Experience working with elementary-aged students who have visual impairments. Strong knowledge of braille instruction, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility strategies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt instructional materials and techniques to meet individual student needs.
