Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs)
for full-time itinerant positions serving K12 students in the Baltimore, MD area. These are onsite roles for the full 20252026 school year. Job Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across multiple school sites Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt classroom materials and collaborate with general education staff Conduct functional vision assessments and learning media assessments Support students in developing independent living and orientation and mobility skills (in collaboration with O&M specialists, where applicable) Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and district professional development Travel between school locations as needed (mileage reimbursement may apply) Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Visual Impairment or related field Valid Maryland state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with K12 students who are blind or visually impaired Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and accessible instructional strategies Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work onsite and travel within the district Benefits:
