2 Caseload Details: Approx. 10 students Grades: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade Student population includes individuals with autism who are emergent communicators Job Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a K2 setting Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet students language and communication needs Utilize various modes of communication (e.g., sign language, visual supports) based on student needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other service providers Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals Requirements: Must hold a valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification in New York State Previous experience with students who have autism and are emergent communicators strongly preferred Strong knowledge of communication strategies for students with hearing loss Excellent collaboration and organizational skills Benefits Offered: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Weekly pay Apply NOW!
