Job Summary: Jersey Child Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team. As a Child Care Staff Member, you will play a key role in managing and supervising children in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that promotes their development and well-being.

Qualifications:

Meets all state requirements for the position.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.

OR must be enrolled in a high school work-study program related to child care.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday to at least waist height.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage daily classroom activities and child engagement.

Provide support and guidance to children during social, academic, and behavioral challenges.

Develop and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules appropriate for the age group.

Prepare instructional materials and classroom aids.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.

Assist children during meals and facilitate clean-up routines.

Complete all required paperwork, including:  Daily Notes, Attendance Logs, Incident Reports, Etc.

Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.

Attend professional development activities such as workshops and training sessions.

Communicate any issues or concerns to the Director promptly.

Notify the Director in advance if unable to attend work.
