This full-time position focuses on providing one-on-one assistance to a non-verbal high school student who is fluent in ASL, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Proficient in American Sign Language
Previous experience working with K-12 students, particularly in special education settings
Knowledge of various communication methods and educational strategies
Preferred: EIPA certification, though not mandatory
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and staff

Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to a mod/severe high school student through ASL interpretation
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement educational programs and strategies
Assist in facilitating communication between the student and peers
Monitor and document the students progress and participation in class activities
Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding the students needs
