Our Teacher's Aides never hesitate to help out where needed and seek opportunities to learn from our interdisciplinary team members, the Daystar Kids entrusted in our care, and their families. * Education: Associate's or above in special education, early childhood education, speech/language pathology, child life, physical, occupational music therapy, or other related fields of study * Experience: 2 years of relevant field experience working in an early childhood education or pediatric setting and/or 2 years relevant field experience working with children with special needs * Interest and demonstrated proficiency in understanding a broad range of medical conditions, related treatments, and their developmental impacts * Excellent judgment skills- must be active, alert, and observant at all times and ready to effectively respond to unplanned or emergency situations * Ability to effectively implement multimodal communication techniques and use adaptive equipment, sensory materials, and communication devices * Inherent passion for engaging infants and children with special needs * Inclusive approach; embraces and demonstrates person-centered values, respect, and integrity.
