Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic full-time teacher/educator to join our team. Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is a 120 bed capacity behavioral health facility that provides psychiatric services. We specialize in treatment for adults, children, and adolescents. Brentwood Behavioral offers both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. Located in Flowood, MS, in Rankin County, our outpatient services are within driving distance to many surrounding areas. We help individuals and families achieve optimal mental health, resulting in improved quality of life. Our dedicated team of professionals provides individualized treatment, meeting the personal needs of our customers in a safe and nurturing environment.

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic teacher/educator full-time. The teacher is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs to all assigned, hospitalized children and adolescents. The teacher is directly responsible for regular communication to school personnel and attending physicians regarding assignments, test results, special education needs, and behavioral reports, within the hospital's educational setting. The teacher is responsible for administering, and reporting approved testing instruments ordered by attending physicians or given by the classroom teacher to affected personnel.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum: least 2 years of education related course work with a valid teaching license/certificate.
  • Preferred: graduate of a four-year accredited institution of higher learning with a valid special education licensures. Experience in the education of behavioral and emotionally handicapped individuals is preferred. CPR and de-escalation certification required.
