Summer School Teacher: Camp Rotary (grades 6-8) (Internal Only)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 3 weeks from July 14th – August 1st; Monday – Friday; 9:00 am – 3:00 pm with up to 2 hours of planning per week.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To help students retain subject matter and skills that have been learned during the previous school year.

Emphasizes competency in the basic skills
Maintains a classroom environment conductive to instruction and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students?
Establishes a positive climate for learning; encourages students to do well and to develop a degree of responsibility for learning?
Assist the administration in implementing policies, rules, and regulations covering student daily life and conduct?
Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures and maintains order in the classroom?
Seeks to maintain and improve professional competence
Document and report on progress made by students during the program.
Ensure supervision and safety of all students during the school day.
Must be available for the entire 3-week session, including Professional Development Day before start of program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
As set by the State certification requirements. Available during the dates listed for entire program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual Spanish and English
SALARY: $40/hour for instruction,$35/hour for prep
