When a teacher has a planned or unplanned absence, we rely on substitute teachers to cover the class. We're currently looking for engaging and reliable substitute teachers. When substitutes cover for teachers, they will adhere to the lesson plans and ensure that students have a fulfilling learning experience. The ideal candidate will have substitute teaching experience and an ability to lead classrooms effectively.

Objectives

Maintain availability to accept assignments
Execute lesson plans according to teacher guidelines and school curriculum
Establish a classroom environment conducive to learning
Adhere to school policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Follow teacher instructions for lesson plans
Maintain structure within the classroom to foster a safe, productive learning environment
Compile a report for the teacher that includes lesson-plan progress, disciplinary actions, and positive developments

Required Skills and Qualifications

Flexibility in scheduling
Confidence and proficiency in giving instructions
Verbal and written communication skills
At least 60 semester hours of satisfactory credits from an accredited higher education institution
Ability to pass a background check
