Qualifications and responsibilities: Must possess a valid Missouri Professional Teacher and/or Missouri Substitute Teacher Certificate from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). You can apply for the substitute certificate through the DESE Website at dese.mo.gov. (Exception: If you are a teacher certified in the state of Missouri you do not need a substitute certificate) Background/Fingerprint check is required.
