Navigator teachers are dedicated, passionate professionals who are driven to impact the lives of traditionally underserved students. Substitute teachers participate in classroom management training and are coached weekly to constantly improve their practice, use technology on a daily basis in Navigator's cutting edge blended educational program, build and promote critical thinking skills in order to deliver an exceptional educational experience.
Responsibilities
Instruction
Rigorous instructional delivery using a variety of methods, including direct whole group, small group circles, 1-on-1 tutoring, and blended technology tools
School Culture
Manage student behavior according to common Navigator practices Maintain high expectations for self and students at all times; commit to 100% student engagement
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and valid California Teaching Credential or Substitute Teaching Permit Bilingual Spanish a plus Committed to evolving personal teaching practices and instructional delivery in order to best serve students Welcome change and thrive on growth in response to student needs Embrace challenges as opportunities; demonstrate perseverance and grit in the fact of opposition
