Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field. FL State teaching license in the relevant field. Knowledge of STEM best practices. ESOL/ESE endorsed or work towards obtaining it. Being familiar with the local and state science events Experience with engineering projects and coding resources

Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Developing STEM curricula. Developing STEM learning activities and hands-on material for classes. Organize school-wide STEM related activities Help students prepared for academic competitions such as Science Olympiad, First Lego league, and Future City Design. Establishes a safe and orderly environment and a culture to empower students Works collaboratively with school personnel to create a professional learning community Develops goals and strategies through the school improvement plan Collaborates with colleagues to mentor and support teachers to improve effectiveness of department or grade level Make sure instructional delivery is implemented as required differentiation, tiering, and scaffolding are in place. Maintain current and efficient records of student progress based on interventions Selects materials and develops lessons that counteract stereotypes and incorporate contributions of all cultures Appreciates differences and values contributions of each student by building positive, appropriate relationships Incorporates life skills: leadership, ethics, accountability, adaptability, personal productivity, personal responsibility, people skills, self-direction, and social responsibility Demonstrate technology/instructional media competency in order to enhance learning Work with parents and guardians to promote positive behavioral support and respectful-yet-nurturing learning environment for BMSS students Communicate and interact with others during academic planning and committee activities
