You must be a State of Michigan Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician. The Electrical Technology Program is a U.S. Department of Labor-approved related technical instruction program for those individuals working towards fulfilling their electrical apprenticeship requirements. The program started at Michigan State University in 1970 and is considered one of the premier educational programs for electrical apprentices.
Job Duties:
Provide instruction in courses within the Electrical Technology program.
Create and present lectures with examples from real-life situations.
Instruct students on job safety and tool knowledge through hands-on labs.
Collaborate with the program coordinator on class content, student grades, syllabus, and apprenticeships.
Maintain student records within the MSU system.

The selected candidate will learn all aspects of the ET program at MSU. This is a 100%-time appointment, renewable annually based on performance.

Required Degree Masters -Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent to Career Technical Education
Minimum Requirements Master's Degree
State of Michigan Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
Career Technical Education Certification
Desired Qualifications Master's Degree
State K-12 Endorsement
Secondary Career in Technical Education with an Energy Cluster Certificate or Manufacturing Cluster Certificate.
