Position Description: Regional School District 13 is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Elementary Education.
Qualification s: Current and Valid CT Teaching Certification (065 or 165)
Performance Expectations/Qualifications/Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
? Current and Valid CT Certification as a Special Education Teacher (065 or 165) ? Experience in working with students with diverse educational needs and supports ? Strong ability to develop and maintain communication and rapport with parents ? Knowledge of evidence-based learning strategies to support identified students in the least restrictive environment ? Ability to collect, manage and analyze data to measure student progress and inform instruction ? Experience in formal evaluation and assessment practices ? Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders ? Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a high degree of flexibility and initiative ? Knows and effectively communicates the Regional School District 13 philosophy and mission.
