We are looking for a talented Special Education Teacher for the school year. Seeking 2–3 in-person candidates with LBS1 certification (K–age 21) Candidates with experience in high school life skills and/or elementary emotional disabilities (ED) preferred. Hourly Rate Range:  $34.00-$47.00 Responsibilities would include: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. Provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small group, and inclusive classroom settings. Adapt lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success. Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines. Implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited program. Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education Endorsement (issued by the Illinois State Board of Education – ISBE). LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement required. Experience with IEP development and implementation. Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
