Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Special Education Teacher with active LBS1 and PEL credentials for a day shift position serving elementary or middle school students.
Responsibilities Work in a public school setting within the special education unit
Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Caseload includes either elementary or middle school students; please specify preference
Assignment runs from August 18, 2025, to May 9, 2026
Primary responsibilities include instructional planning and delivery for students with special needs
Collaboration with support staff and general education teachers is expected
No references required for initial consideration
Successful fingerprinting and background check required prior to starting assignment
Requirements Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) and PEL (Professional Educator License) in hand
Resume required for consideration
Must be in state to complete fingerprinting through the district prior to start; results can take 5-10 days
License required if applicable
