Job Title: Special Education Teacher Starting Pay: $55/hour Employment Type: Part Time 8:30 - 11:30 Monday - Friday Grade Levels: High School

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational services to students with special needs from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role requires a commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families. Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred). Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations. Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred). Certifications (preferred but not required): Standard Elementary Teaching Standard Secondary Teaching Standard Special Teaching Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)

Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice. Current CPR certification (if applicable). TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable). Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation). Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age.
