Make an Impact – Help students with special needs gain life skills, confidence, and independence in a positive, inclusive school community. Your Role as a Special Education Teacher : IEP Development & Instruction – Create and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies that meet each student's individual needs and goals.
Documentation & Reporting – Timely submission of IEPs, progress reports, and evaluation documentation.
Collaboration & Communication – Partner with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and school staff to support student success.
Classroom Management & Behavior Support – Maintain a structured learning environment using behavior management and intervention strategies.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring – Track student progress through evaluations, assessments, and behavioral data collection.
Safety & Compliance – Follow all safety policies, including PPE use and confidentiality, while supporting students' self-care needs. Required Qualifications: Active PA Teaching Certification is required, such as a Private Academic Certificate or Level I/II PA Instructional Special Education Certification (K–).
