Responsibilities Demonstrate thorough knowledge and application of the principles and methodology of effective teaching of students with disabilities Manage classroom organization to facilitate a constructive learning environment Prepare student individual education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members Deliver instruction designed to meet the goals and objectives of IEPs and treatment plans Develop and provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Assist other professional staff in the diagnosis of learning disorders, development of planned remediation, and evaluation of student progress Evaluate academic proficiency and determine appropriate academic curriculum for students based on assessment data, age, strengths, and special needs Follow State-mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students. Participates in eligibility committee meetings and contributes to developing the Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students.
