Requirements 282 Certification for K-8 and birth-5 no later than August 15 Bachelor Degree in Special Education or Elementary Education, or one of the following related fields: Child Development, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Child Development, Mental Health, Human Services, Human Development, Social and Behavioral Sciences, or Behavioral Health. Minimum of 1-year experience with children ages 2-10 or young children with special needs preferred. Experience working with families and supervising staff required. Must obtain agency provided CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications within 60 days of hire. Must obtain agency provided Safety Care certification within 30 days of hire. Must obtain agency provided BHP certification within 12 months of hire. Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.
