Position Details:

Role: Self-Contained / Intensive Intervention Special Education Teacher

Setting: Elementary–Middle School (Grades 4–8)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Duration: July 31, 2025 – June 30, 2026

Weekly Hours: 37 guaranteed hours

Work Environment: On-site only (no virtual or hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs and intensive intervention needs.

• Support academic, behavioral, communication, and life skills development.

• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.

• Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with documentation and timelines.

• Modify curriculum and apply evidence-based practices to meet diverse learning needs.

• Maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and school initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.

• Valid Indiana Special Education Teaching License with Intensive Intervention endorsement.

• Experience in self-contained or intensive support classrooms preferred.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
