## Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at a wonderful school district that cares about it's students and faculty. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about literacy education, early intervention, and curriculum development.

## Duties

- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs

- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

- Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage students in the learning process

- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a supportive learning environment

- Conduct standardized testing and assessments to track student progress

- Incorporate library services and Montessori principles into lesson planning

## Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred

- IN state certification in Special Education

- Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues

- Proficiency in curriculum development and literacy education

- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and best practices in special education
