A middle school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades 5-7. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to support learners in a resource setting, providing tailored instruction to meet their unique educational needs. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special education needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support student progress. Monitor and document student growth, adapting instructional strategies to optimize learning outcomes. Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and development. Participate in meetings and professional development as required. Qualifications: Active Illinois Special Education License. Experience working with middle school students (grades 5-7) preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
