Special Education Teacher

Location: Washington, District of Columbia

Pay Rate: Up to $50+ / hour

As a K-12 school-based Special Education Teacher in Washington, District of Columbia, your days will include:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet student needs
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavioral supports and interventions
• Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent conferences
• Maintain compliance with IDEA, state, and district regulations regarding special education

Position: Contract Full 20252026 Academic Year

Dates: August 2025 June 2026

Hours: Full-time, regular school schedule (Monday Friday)

Caseload: Middle School, inclusion setting

Successful candidates possess:

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education (required)
• An active or pending state licensure, or the ability to obtain (required)
• Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred)
• The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
