Special Education Teacher – New Haven, CT

Hourly Compensation: Up to $50/hr | Full-Time

Connected Health Care is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a  New Haven, CT . This position offers an opportunity to help students build essential academic and social skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide targeted instruction in math, reading, and writing for students with IEPs and learning disabilities .

Modify and differentiate the general education curriculum to ensure accessibility for students with diverse needs.

Implement individualized behavior and classroom management plans .

Work closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support.

Use data-driven teaching strategies to assess and improve student progress.

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with general education teachers and parents to advocate for student needs.

Utilize technology and hands-on activities to keep students engaged in learning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification required.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field .

Experience working with students and mild-to-moderate disabilities .

Knowledge of IEP writing, accommodations, and progress monitoring .

Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment .
