These roles include both Elementary Self-Contained (Academic Focus) and K-8 Resource settings. Position Details: Full-time hours (consistent schedule) Onsite work with students in Tacoma-area schools Elementary Self-Contained and K-8 Resource roles available Academic-focused instruction and individualized support Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction tailored to student IEPs Develop and implement lesson plans that align with educational standards Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff Conduct IEP meetings and maintain compliance documentation Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed Communicate regularly with families and guardians Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field Valid Washington State Teaching Certification with Special Education Endorsement Prior experience in self-contained or resource classroom settings preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs This is a contract position with full benefits and competitive hourly compensation.
