Job Overview:
We are seeking four dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team for the 20252026 school year in Self-Contained (SDC) classroom settings. These are permanent, full-time positions offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of students with mild to moderate learning needs.
Open Positions:
Position 1: Grades 13
Position 2: Grades 24
Position 3: Transitional Kindergarten (TK), AM Session
Position 4: Transitional Kindergarten (TK), PM Session
Note: Positions 3 and 4 are designed as a team model working with TK & Kindergarten students.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in a self-contained classroom for students with mild to moderate disabilities
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals
Use evidence-based instructional practices tailored to individual student needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress
Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Collect and report data on academic and behavioral progress
Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school-based team collaboration
Required Qualifications:
Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential Mild/Moderate
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Experience working with students in self-contained special education settings preferred
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
