We are currently seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our team in a resource room setting. This role supports students with a variety of academic, emotional, physical, and developmental needs, guiding them toward personal growth and educational achievement.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will create and implement customized Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that align with each student's unique learning profile. You'll foster a safe, supportive, and well-organized learning environment that promotes skill development and encourages confidence. Using continuous evaluation and progress monitoring, you'll refine instructional methods to better meet student goals.

Collaboration will be essential-you'll partner with classroom teachers, school specialists, and families to ensure a unified approach to student support. You'll modify lessons and adjust teaching strategies to support a range of abilities, while also nurturing social-emotional growth for a well-rounded student experience.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field, along with a valid Illinois teaching license in Early Childhood Special Education. A strong grasp of early childhood developmental milestones and effective behavior management techniques is essential for success in this role. While previous experience supporting preschool-aged children with disabilities is highly valued, the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with both families and educational teams is key to promoting student growth and achievement.
