Provide direct service to children approved through the CPSE program in accordance with the mandate and location identified in the Individualized Educational Plan. Work in diverse settings such as client homes, family day cares, day care centers, preschools or other community settings. Follow Individualized Educational Plans, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan for parents and other professionals. Conduct collaborative activities with other professionals working on a case. Educate all individuals involved in a case on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over. Prepare progress reports as per program timelines Present updates on cases at Annual Review and/or program review meetings as needed. Utilize various systems to ensure documentation for a case is completed and meets regulatory expectations. Administrative responsibilities include review of evaluation packets, creation of required summary documents and attendance at initial eligibility meetings. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines Requirements:
Must have a passion for working with children and families! One of the following certifications/licensesStudents with Disabilities (Birth – 2 or All Grades), Initial or Professional certificationPermanent Special Education certificate CPSE experience preferred, but not required Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, but not required Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train. The ability to climb and descend staircases The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods Salary: $70,000-$75,000 per year. Please note this is a 12 month position.
