Job Posting: Onsite Special Education Teacher (Middle School Resource) Location: Philadelphia, PA Company: Soliant Education Position Type: 2025-2026 School Year Contract Pay Rate: $35-$46 per hour (Hourly, Weekly Pay) Start Date: August 25, 2025 Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for an onsite, Middle School Resource position in Philadelphia, PA. This is a contract role for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for a committed educator who is passionate about supporting students with learning differences in a resource setting. Position Details Setting: Middle School Pull-Out Resource (Math and Reading Intervention) Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Fridays: Students have a half-day; teachers spend the afternoon in required professional development (paid) Caseload: Max caseload of 12 students Resource sessions include 5-6 students per group Support: While no paraprofessionals are specifically assigned to this classroom, many students have 1:1 paras who may assist Technology: Laptop and school email provided Software: IEPs are managed using IEP Writer Duties: Arrival and dismissal responsibilities are assigned to all teachers Daily Schedule Includes: Planning period and lunch break Responsibilities Provide small group instruction in reading and math as part of pull-out services Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations tailored to individual student needs Conduct progress monitoring regularly Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families, general education teachers, and service providers Attend and actively participate in weekly professional development sessions Maintain accurate student records and comply with state and federal education laws Requirements Certification: Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification (Grades 5-8) or have the ability to obtain it before August 25th Emergency Certifications Will Not Be Accepted Strong knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and progress monitoring Effective communication and collaboration skills Previous experience in a middle school special education setting is preferred Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Weekly Pay Supportive school environment and professional development opportunities How to Apply Apply NOW to be considered for this rewarding opportunity with Soliant Education.
