*Qualifications:*
* PA Special Education Certification K-12 or 9 - 12.
* Experience teaching successfully in an urban setting.
* Genuine interest, belief, and care for students' personal and academic success.
* The ability to motivate, support, and challenge students in a student-centered, standards-driven classroom community.
* A positive mindset and a drive for personal excellence.
* A strong sense of professional responsibility as well as personal accountability for student achievement.
* Outstanding instructional skills driven by data delivered through rigorous and engaging strategies.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Serve as a resource to classroom teachers to help IEP students achieve academically in the classroom.
* Advocate for the needs of the Special Education students.
* Case manager of approximately 15 - 20 students.
* Maintain accurate and compliant IEP's and communicate ongoing with the IEP team.
* Participate in ongoing professional development including Sped staff meetings.
* Lead IEP meetings with the LEA and the IEP team.
* Engage families in their children's education by building relationships and maintaining regular communication.
*Education and Experience:*
* Bachelor's degree required with a record of personal, professional, and/or academic achievement
* Teacher certification- PA Special Education Certified
* Commitment to and experience working with underserved communities
* Determination to drive student achievement and set high expectations for all students
* Demonstrated expertise in subject area
* Current Clearances required

Pay: $53,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
