A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a K-12 school serving students in grades 6 with a focus on providing specialized instruction and support within the general education curriculum. This contract role spans the entire school year and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student growth and development. Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) for four periods daily. Teach History for two periods, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs. Provide one period of intervention or elective support tailored to student requirements. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in regular team meetings. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success. Follow the school schedule from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM over a 183-day contract. Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with a focus on Special Education. Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs, preferably grade 6. Strong skills in differentiating instruction in ELA and History subjects.
