A K-12 educational setting in southeastern Minnesota is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support 7th and 8th grade students with diverse learning needs during the current school year. This contract position is based in the Harmony/Preston area and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with varying disabilities. Responsibilities include delivering instruction in replacement reading, writing, and math, along with implementing individualized goals related to academics, social skills, and organizational development. The role involves working with a total of 14 students across federal settings: supporting 10 students in federal setting 1, 3 students in federal setting 2, and 1 student in federal setting 3. Classroom environments will vary between resource and self-contained settings. Candidates must hold a valid Minnesota special education teaching license and demonstrate experience in providing tailored educational support to students with disabilities. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff. The position offers flexible working hours with options to start between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. and end between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., allowing staff to choose the schedule that best fits their needs.
